Snow!

So we have spent the last 2 days freezing outside but having so much fun! It has been extremely special watching the snow falling and covering the ground because it has made Slade so happy! I couldn't wait for him to wake up Thursday morning! His 1st time to really ever experience snow and it was priceless! One of the many reasons I enjoy being a mommy! Makes every thing a little more special! :)

Snow Day #1

Slade became very good friends with Sam, the snowman. :) After getting ready for bed while I was putting him down he asked "where's Sam" I told him Sam was outside and he then replied "I want to give him a hug" It's going to be a sad day when Sam melts away! :(

Snow Day #2

We spent the day at my moms house playing out in the snow ... Slade & Jeff just can't get enough of it! :) Honour and I like to stay inside where it's nice and warm! :)

But we just couldn't leave Honour out completely! She had to take her 1st pictures in the snow and might I add she is wearing the same hat that Slade wore his 1st snow day!

We will all be sad when all the snow has melted away and we see no more white but we have made some wonderful memories and have had a great time! Thank you Lord for the snow! :)

3 mo. & the BIG bed ...

Yep, that's right 3 mo.! I can't believe it ... where did my little baby go? Honour has brought SO much more joy & happiness to our family! We are now blessed with double and loving every minute of it! I told my mom how amazing it was that you can LOVE two kids SO much! I remember talking to my mom one day after having Slade and saying how can I ever love another as much as I love him? Well, it happened! :)

Honour is a really good baby, happy and always smiling! I do have to admit though a little more demanding than Slade ever was but that's okay! :) It's crazy how two kids can be so different! She has the most amazing personalty and keeps us laughing all the time. We just love her to pieces!

... and now Slade has moved into his "big boy bed" I was so nervous about it because I was afraid that he would get down and not stay in his bed. It just seemed like a lot for a little guy to take in ... stay in your bed, sleep on your pillow, and stay under the covers. Slade was all over his baby bed and so I had lots of concerns but he's done GREAT! Such a big boy and it was so cute the first night watching him on the monitor tuck himself in and cover up! My little boy is growing up way too fast! :(

Then the other day I heard Slade in his room "no cry Yoda" I was busy in the living room when he came walking out saying "shh, Yoda's nite-nite" he had turned his noise maker on, pulled back the covers tucked Yoda in and turned off the light. Too cute...

Dentist

This morning I took Slade to the dentist for the first time. The dentist is a big thing for our family, ha! I know, I'm crazy but I'm all about clean teeth. I've been brushing Slade's mouth before he even had teeth and people would laugh at me! :) Well, it paid off!

Great report from the doctor ... healthy teeth, great overbite and no cavities! Also, the doctor was amazed at how well Slade did for (2). He said it's very rare that a 2 yr. old makes it through the whole procedure. Great job son!

Dallas Cowboys

Well, Saturday was the first playoff game and we were actually there! =) The stadium was packed, 92,000 attended and the place was on fire! It was an amazing atmosphere! Jeff and I are huge Dallas Cowboys fans and we were also able to take our great friends along for the fun!

The boys played great ... praying we will pull it off again Sunday!

October...

Well, October was a pretty busy month...

Slade turned 2 on Oct. 13! :( Wow, I still can't believe my baby is 2! He is growing so fast and is so independent. I always tell everyone Slade grew up to fast ... he was really never a baby. I catch myself watching him sometimes in amazement. He is such a big help with Honour and when I ask him to hand me something or go get me something he happily responds with "sure" ... to cute! :)

On Oct. 27 Honour was born! Our house has been a little more hectic and crazy but loving every minute of it! We have had to learn how to adjust with 2 small kids and figure out routines that work for us. All is finally coming together and I can actually get ready for an outing in about 2 hrs. (Ha!)

San Antonio

Well, we took our first family trip to San Antonio and had a blast. We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying watching Slade have so much fun! Being parents is the most amazing thing ever! Sure puts more meaning into every thing you do!

Saturday we woke up had some breakfast and headed out to the San Antonio Zoo. Slade loves seeing all the animals and running around. He is a quick one though and scared me a few times. I like to just keep him strapped in his stroller! Ha!

On Sunday we also took Slade to Sea World. We had the BEST time ever! We have been to Sea World a couple of times but it was like being there for the first time ever with Slade. It was so neat to see him get so amazed with every thing. Oh, and of course my son would fall asleep right before the "Shamu show" I had been waiting ALL DAY to see his reaction to Shamu and he falls asleep while were waiting for the show to start! Ha! We were able to catch another showing and he stayed awake! :)

He insisted on holding on to the side of the stroller. Slowed us down A LOT but it was so cute to watch! :)

He was amazed at the wall size aquarium and loved watching all the big fish swim by. They also had sharks in the tanks and he LOVED them!

We had so much fun and yes did LOTS of walking. Sea World was nice because they have lot's of shows which gave me a good reason to take some time and sit. Slade also enjoyed walking down by the river walk and seeing all the water. Fun times!
